Comments: The 7 in sound given here is very weak, the audience noise is unbearable most of the time. Listen to this recording, and understand why I skip Bergen if I have to make a priority between shows... The most annoying crowd and crew I've ever met.
From what Geb told me, the crew didn't know how to turn off the heating system, and it was running on max all night. It was dripping hot in there. Geb said it was the worst thing he'd ever experienced.
The Phanerothyme tour saw lots of greater shows happen. Although this show isn't as bad as some people claimed, I'd say it is one of the most uninteresting.
Highlights: Go To California and Song For A Bro' both have great jams. (Sadly, there are two cuts inside Song For A Bro' at 3:54 and 6:21.)
Never Let You Out is hilarious!
Alex says: the sound is ok. it is not as warm, wide & clear as anders' CSB recordings but it isn't too bad either. an average audience recording leaning towards a B+, i'd say.
the performance is rather average, too. this is no halden 2001 or brussels 2001. a solid set, with too many new songs & too few jams for my taste. the show is pretty short, too. in addition the audience is loudly talking throughout the quiet parts & screaming drunkenly during the loud parts. the show is highlighted by a nice "go to ca" jam & a noisy jam-conclusion in "song for a bro".
i haven't found any flaws or glitches in the recording although i was told there are two of them?! the only strange thing is the beginning of "the nerve tattoo". they go directly from "nlyo" into the first verse of "tnt" leaving out the intro! there seems to be no cut. the audience reacts accordingly by recognising the song when bent starts singing. if there had been an intro they would have recognised the song earlier, i think. since the band slightly altered "tnt" every now & then last tour it isn't too unlikely they left out the intro here. interesting & it works. maybe attendees can confirm this?
