This went on for about 45 minutes. I'll be honest and say it was an unpleasant experience at the time and not simply because I was recording. I just wanted to enjoy the show. I had not listened to the recording in its entirety until today. When listening today, at first, I was annoyed again but then entertained as the drunk just could not figure out why I (1) would not have a conversation with him, and (2) told him I didn't want or need an apology from him. He proceeded to call me an a-hole for not wanting his apology. Early on, he called me a Canadian for not wanting to talk to him during the show. At the time, I blamed myself for the interaction - felt I didn't handle it very well. I should have just found an usher and asked him to make the guy go back to his seat as he was actually just standing in the aisle next to my seat. I could have handled it better, but this guy was (1) drunk and (2) only concerned with himself, not how he was impacting the show for those around him. Listening back, I think he had probably about as miserable time the second set as I did. It's all there on the recording for you. Why did I decide now to master and release the recording? It's been on my hard drive for 20 months and I figured it wasn't as bad as I remembered (it was as bad, unfortunately) and I could patch a couple segments where it was bad. Then there were too many and I didn't have the energy to spend more time on this than I needed to. Plus, at that point, the second set is basically someone else's source. The show sounds great when it is loud and you can't hear the anti-Canadian drunk, so enjoy.
