**Remastered** by thir13en Smashing Pumpkins Lull (live) I had intended to do these one day, then just bagged it, too many other things to do. But, with MS's diligence to make it happen anyway, I felt inspired enough to put this one together. Yes, Gish and that ensuing era was my favorite time of the band, I luckily "discovered" the wonders of SP just shortly before Gish was released, and made my first of many mad rushes to the stores looking for their music. It was the hardest I looked for any album, ever. Back then, its' distribution was incredibly lo-key, and therefore very difficult to come by. I found it in an awful mall CD store, hiding amongst the tall trees of the Top 40. I first heard Blue on the local college radio, maybe a couple of months after Gish came out. I then spent another pain-staking month or so in acquiring the EP. Short but sweet, with the excelllently moody Rhinoceros leading off, the aforementioned should-have-been-on-the-album Blue, the freak-out Slunk and the gentle closer Bye June. I loved it, just as I loved Gish. Over the years I've enjoyed every release, but from the moment I heard Cherub Rock on the radio in June of '93, I knew things would be different than they were. It's OK, it's just that Gish...made it feel like something about 1991...was a magical time to be alive. Enjoy this Lull. 01 - Rhinoceros (Live 93) 02 - Blue (Acoustic 91) 03 - Slunk (Live 92) 04 - Bye June (Live 92) 13 SOURCE INFO ================= These all came from the Mashed Potato's discs.
