Neumann KM184 8 ft -> Tascam DR-70D 24bit/48kHz WAV -> Reaper (mixing/editing) -> Fission (splicing) -> xACT (flac) Notes: This was a benefit show where The Tracks reunited for their friend and old sound engineer Lou Reilly who suffered from a stroke a couple years ago. The stage mics were at the front of the stage on either side, they were pointed in towards the drummer, this allowed me to mix in guitar and stuff that wouldn’t have been in a board recording because of the sheer loudness on stage. Having the microphones with such a wide spread had the extra bonus of adding a stereo image on what is essentially a mono mix, it seems to add depth too.
