I was going through some major concert withdrawal, considering I went to 22 last year, at least one every calendar month. I've had ten shows postponed over the past six months. I was excited to see a band I like playing one of these Drive-In shows, so I made the trip to New Jersey. (My state is not on New Jersey's quarantine list, so I was good to go!) This experience was surreal. What a strange way of seeing a show. The band was great, as usual. I was a little bummed at the shorter set, but pretty much figured that would be the case. I basically got two parking spots, one for my car, and one for my lawn chair. I must say, it was much nicer way to see a show than being in a cramped theater where the seats are on top of each other. So much leg room! My car turned into a Kitty Lickin' Discs mobile studio. I had actually tried to do four separate recordings, but I screwed up two of them. This one is the best of the lot, and one of the better sounding recordings I've made. I actually had the mics taped to the side view mirrors on either side of the car, so I got some good seperation. I was close to the stage, so sound is clear and crisp. Unfortunately, I forgot about wind screens, and there was some wind rumble. Not constant, I would say it affected about 5% of the show, and most of the time only in one channel. I patched these spots with the other channel (and added some faux-stereo separation), and in some cases from the other recording that came out well. All in all, it was a great show, and I was just glad to get to see a concert again! Artwork is included in the torrent, with photos from the actual show. PLEASE DO NOT USE AS A SOURCE FOR A MATRIX.   Please share this recording in unaltered lossless quality. If you need to remaster, or something, let me know, and I can provide the unedited raw master (without EQ/volume tweaks) for you to use.  -- MP September 2020
