The MCPA booked The Verve Pipe to play Findlay on one of their off nights while on tour w/ Five For Fighting. This is the only show on their current run where they would get to headline and play 2 sets. I was very happy it was a short 90 minute drive from Columbus. The show was originally planned to be outside, but due to logistics, it was moved inside to the Donnell Theater. The weather outside was gorgeous, so that definitely was not the issue. The theater was very nice and the sound was pretty good, as well. It was GA seating when the theater doors opened, so I immediately went for the right stack (Lou's side) and hoisted my stand a few rows back from the front on the aisle. Please note, the performance of "Found" was not done from the stage but from the crowd. Brian & Channing came down and played it to the left side of the room and eventually made their way down my aisle and finished it there. I had to boost this by 20db+ or so to even pick it up and then reduced the hiss in Audition the best I could. I almost omitted it, but then we wouldn't have the complete show. Thankfully, it only lasts 3 minutes. There is no break in between the sets. I cross faded the crowd noise for a seamless listen. The actual break was around 20 minutes.
