description
I created this small group of .wav files to test the difference between a 48khz .wav file before resampling, and 44.1 afterwards. If you grab these to try it out, please drop a comment in after you're done comparing. Please include: 1. Playback software. - Recommended is pcabx which can be found here: http://www.pcabx.com/ 2. Playback lineage. For example, for testing purposes I'll be using: Delta DIO 2496 soundcard > Monster analog cables > Sony DA 2ES stereo receiver > Sennheiser HD575 headphones. 3. Comment on whether you think there's a noticeable difference in the sound of the files. It's more a curiosity thing than anything else. Some folks say that the difference is noticable, others say it's out of human ear range. This is just a single test group of files so a larger group can try it out and comment. Details on lineage for the files can be found in the info file I included with them. If you find that the test could be improved somehow, please let us know. Also, if anyone want's to try 24bit / 48khz vs. 16bit / 44.1 khz, Scott Brown has provided 2 seeds linked on the left (DPA 4022). -Brad
