This tour was fairly well documented, but this one ranks up there with the best of them. The recording is great, and the performance is top notch. I tracked out the rough start, basically the first minute of “Swimming Ground”. There are some drop outs during "Climbing", and the first minute of Side B too (CD 1 = Side A, CD 2 = Side B), but it’s short, the rest of the show, as typical with the rest of this batch of Harrison’s recordings, is amazing. Looking back at what we’ve gotten thanks to Harrison’s generosity: 2 Black Flag shows, a few Minutemen performances, FU’s, Husker Du, fIREHOSE, and these Meat Puppets gigs…just amazing stuff. Endless thanks to him fer entrusting me with these. I took great care to transfer these properly and I think by anybody’s standards, these are the definitive versions of these shows, which were not very common to begin with… We know by now the 1st Gens are the lowest in circulation…I explained that each seed fer those only grabbing the random show from the batch, I think anyone on this has grabbed at least one of these masterpieces, so I’ll spare ya…. Enjoy!!
