I'm not even sure what to write here because I have so many feelings about the closing of TXR that I can't articulate well so I'll keep it short. I've been going to see shows here since early 2014 where I'd see Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family band plus many, many, many other great acts perform in the Grate Room, Bar, and Park. I was fortunate to see Phil and Co in the Grate Room many times, often times starting shows at 7PM and ending after midnight. Those nights felt like they could last forever and today's performance felt very jarring. Nothing but great memories with friends watching different acts perform at TXR over the years. Absolutely devastated that TXR is closing and my heart goes out to everyone that worked there. TXR will be sorely missed. Mark and Mookie were tasked today with the impossible task of closing out TXR and they did a phenomenal job. I can only look forward to the next chapter in this long strange journey and I hope good things come soon! I run a Rage Against the Machine live archive at http://ratm.live . Please get in touch if you know anyone that recorded Rage or if you have any recordings of Rage Against the Machine!
