The harp, most vocals, and most of the acoustic guitar was overdubbed on the Fostex VF-160. The album was mixed on the Fostex and mastered in SAW Classic. Microphones Audio Technica ATM25 - kick drum Shure SM56 - snare drum Audio Technica Pro37 - drum overheads Peavey 520i - bass Beyer M400 - electric guitar K&K Pure Western - acoustic guitar Shure SM56 - harmonica Beyer M400 - lead vocals Audio Technica AT4054 and AT4055 - background vocals Larry Donn's Kurzweil piano was recorded direct. I used a Studio Project SP1 preamp for the electric guitar and M-Audio DMP2 preamps for nearly everything else. I also used the Fostex VF160 preamps during rhythm section tracking. Special thanks to all the musicians for helping me with this project. If you think it's rough and ready don't blame them, blame me. That's the sound I was going for.
