This gig was a very different one for Keith. He did not do his normal thing with the acoustics, kick suitcase, and high hat. Instead, he played electric guitar and did a whole lot of looping, and a bunch of drum pad, and pedal effects jams. A really cool and fun "experiment" that was a huge success. The crowd loved it. This gig was a private party/festival with camping that went from Friday to Sunday. I had the privilege of doing sound for all the live bands that played. Plus, playing with Bill and Fred's Excellent Adventure the Friday night before. They even had late night DJ's after the live music was done that went till sunrise. Keith played one long set, and did a whole bunch of off the cuff jams. Some of those jams he made into songs with lyrics he made up right on the spot. One of the highlights was "Mr. T Fantasy." The guys that ran this fest went all out. They had one of those "Mr. T" floppy arm "grand opening" tube man. (Also known as a skydancer, air dancer and originally called the Tall Boy.) Needless to say this was the inspiration for the tune. If you are a Keith Kenny fan you definitely have to check this show out, and if you are not you definitely will be once you hear this show. The sound quality is mint, and the performance is top notch. Just like all live music this should be listened to extremely LOUD. So pop it on and turn it up. ENJOY!!!
