The Other Side of This Life (cut)   ExtraInfo:   After a somewhat ragged beginning Paul had JS: the New Generation (an obvious Star Trek reference) up and running and well-practiced by mid-year.  The effort had taken a toll on their voices at first, but here you find both Paul and Darby Gould in good shape -- Marty for some reason was not at the show, but hey, Jack was there and in rockin' form!  And that can't be bad. A good show, and reminiscent of the Haight in its hey-day, especially when someone hijacks the mic and asks a favor from the crowd. Making up the rest of the lineup was Prairie Prince from the Tubes on drums, Tim Gorman, session keyboardist for the Who, and the one and only Papa John Creach on violin. On lead guitar was Slick Aguilar, former lead for Crosby and Nash (and KC and the Sunshine Band !!!). Darby's husky voice and and good looks are very close to Grace in her prime; too bad that even after playing for over 12 bands she still hasn't quite achieved the name she deserves, although her work with World Entertainment War was noted -- the band slips in WEW's "Dark Ages" in tribute.
