Waterfalls by Larry Heyl A reading and recording in the Arkansas State University Bandroom April 19, 2019 "Waterfalls" was written for Jazz Percussion Ensemble which I have defined as a jazz group with over half of the musicians on percussion and at least two mallet instruments. The Jazz Percussion Ensemble for this piece has nine parts, piano, bass, drums, vibes, marimbas, bongos, agogo bells, trumpet and alto sax. piano - Monica Lindsey bass - Gabe Waters drums - Chris Isom Marimba - Alex Washam Vibes - Al Clevenger Bongos - Tim Gilbee Agogo - Andrew Coleman trumpet - Chris Wilson alto sax - Chase Hoots Directing - Ken Carroll Composer - Larry Heyl Percussion consultant - Craig Collison Composition consultant - Derek Jenkins All the musicians, except piano, are featured including Dr. Ken Carroll who sang scat along with the vibes on the percussion feature. Recorded to my Zoom H6 using the midside mics attached. Audio post production done in SAW Studio and SAW Classic. Then flac --best.
