I always try to take a problem and make it an opportunity hence "Grassy Carpet". I love the closing shot where I'm peering through the grass like a tiger. The second chord in the song where you play a D and cover a G is a D11. It can be played at the nut with even more color by playing a D7 and covering the G. I've developed an new mic placement technique that I used on "Jasmine Jig" and again here. I put the left mic high and place it so when I move in close to the camera it's over the shoulder. It's the main mic on the medium shot. The right mic is at guitar height and placed near the camera so it becomes the main mic on the close shot. This results in a very natural pan when watching the video without ever losing either mic.
