This was the first and only live show with Dispatch of 2021 and took place at MASS MoCA on the first night of the Fresh Grass festival. Four of the five current band members were present, JR didn't make it out for this show. The recording quality is mixed in the earlier tracks as I was trying to find the right place to stash my Tascam to minimize crowd noise and the right input volume to minimize peaking. We were also right in front of the speakers, and there was a train that was passing by us for a period as well, so I've run a high pass filter across the whole recording to try and clean that up. Their set was a great mix of old songs, recent songs, and songs from the new record - all with a bit of bluegrass riffing sprinkled in. Brad suggests this might be the first time they've played Whirlwind live since the late 90's. And this was the first time we heard new songs like May We All and Break Our Fall played in front of a live audience.
