Chris Whitley – 1992-04-29 L.A. Riot Show The Palace, Hollywood, CA Pre FM SBD This show is widely know as the L. A. Riot Show. Whitley was playing in Los Angeles on the night of the Rodney King verdict that sparked the riots back in 1992. During "Living With The Law", he changed the lyrics and sang "I do my dreaming with a torch" instead of "I do my dreaming with a gun", in honor of the event. I don't know if there is a better copy available - I got the Westwood One Radio CD of the show (including commercials and voice over incues) on ebay a while back. The CD was distributed to radio stations for playback. I edited out the commercials (3:00min), and left the incues and outcues. It aired in June 1992. If anyone has a more complete or better version, other shows to share, please do it. Thanks.
