Sweet Talking Hippie           [07:42.610]                             Total: [34:49.282] * with Chris Barron and Scott Patterson on vocals # with Roger Fox on flute History: This is likely the final demo that the band produced and sold at shows before signing with A&M Records in late 1989. There are others that circulate with a 1989 date, but they do not seem to be mass-produced or have labels and liner notes like this one does. It was recorded the day after Christmas 1988, and, interestingly, bears the same BT-007 production number that "Let's Travel" does, which was released a year earlier. This demo marks the only studio releases for "Out Of My Hands", "Weird Chick", and "Should I Stay Or Should I Go". Also notice the difference in "Sweet Talkin' Hippie" on the tape versus "Sweet Talking Hippie" on the liner notes. Notes: I converted this demo once before, but with 24-bit recordings being more standard and owning an outboard analog to digital converter, I thought I'd give it another shot. This is also the first time converting to FLAC, with proper tags and better playback support.
