9-14-19 Whale Rock All-Stars at Whale Rock Music Festival 2019, Templeton, CA - Taper Notes Whale Rock Music Festival (formerly known as "Beaverstock") is a 2-Day festival held in Templeton, CA. All proceeds from the festival help support instrumental music in the local school system. In 2015 Bear Market Riot played their first set at the festival, and in 2017 Nick and Kirk became the official festival emcees! In 2019 the duo was tasked with creating a supergroup of local musicians and artists at large. The result: Whale rock All-Stars! Comprised of mostly musicians from San Luis Obispo County, the set also featured sit-ins from Bridget Law from Elephant Revival, and Kellen Coffis and Kyle Poppen from The Coffis Brothers.
