Selby - Keyboards, All arrangements (unless noted), Bass/Drum programming, Vocals, acoustic guitar, melodica Lee Ford - Guitar, vocals Musicians perspective: Gorgeous view from a house nestled up against Badger Mountain. This is the first time I used Audio Evolution Mobile (AEM - version 2.0.0 - see: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.aemobile&hl=en ) running on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 to mixdown the gig. I ALSO could have done the mixdown on my Galaxy Siii cellphone, but it would have been a bit harder to do certain things (but certainly not impossible). I've attached screenshots to show you the various track and effects settings. Overall I'm VERY pleased with how it turned out. The Reverb is nice and warm, the Compressor (on the Master channel) just "glues" all the tracks together. I searched the Internet for simple "mastering" compressor settings and chose to use some subtle compression (e.g., -2dB Threshold, 2:1 Ratio, short Attack and short Release) just to get some basic compression and I jacked the Output gain up to 4dB (and also had the Master fader at +3dB). In the preferences for Audio Evolution Mobile, I have "Use Hard limiter on the Master Bus" checked ON so that when I mixdown/master I won't get clipping. Between the Compressor on the Master bus, the Master bus fader itself, and the hard limiter, the results were fantastic. Nice hot mastered .wav file with no clipping! Yay! Mixing/Mastering was a very visual and simple process to dial in the settings and mix down the tracks. The new GUI (2.0.0 and higher) is drop-dead gorgeous! Very professional looking and an obvious pleasure to work inside that environment. There's something to be said for an app running on a tablet (fer cryin' out loud!) that allows you to sit in your easy chair, set up your mix settings, and then render out a mastered mix for posting on the Live Music Archive (LMA). Very nice job by the kind folks at Audio Evolution (see: http://www.audio-evolution.com/ ). Until next time, Kevin B. Selby Baja Dunes performed cover songs of material "made famous by" the following artists: Kenny Burrell | Stephen Bishop | Jackson Browne | Johnny Rivers | Van Morrison | Steely Dan | Creedence Clearwater Revival | The Youngbloods | Jimi Hendrix | Eric Clapton | Paul Simon | The Eagles | Loggins and Messina | Amazing Rhythm Aces Neil Diamond | Herbie Hancock | America | Classics IV | Atlanta Rhythm Secion | Bruce Hornsby
