FEB. 5 On Thursday at Strange Brew, Alejandro Escovedo hosts a benefit for his daughter ShaShai and her bandleader husband Matt McCormack, who lost everything last Halloween in the torrential rain that devastated the Onion Creek area and many Central Texans. The benefit runs 6-11:30pm, featuring Bill Carter, Stephen Doster, Randy Weeks, Phillip Gibbs, Kacy Crowley, Patricia Vonne, Rosie Flores, Matt Munhall, Johnnie Goudie, and my bandmate Marlon Sexton and I. There will also be a silent auction and a raffle.
