Loch Raven Notes: I once heard someone describe seeing Animal Collective as feeling like they were in a dream. Of all the Animal Collective recordings I've heard, this one comes the closest to that sentiment. This was recorded close to the stage in what was clearly a very loud venue, and the psychedelia of this era positively drips out of the recording. Here Animal Collective are working out the songs that would appear on the next year's Feels album, along with some other material - including one song I could not identify for the life of me.
