The Trocadero Theatre is a small venue with a great atmosphere. Towards the end of the Mollusk tour, Ween tore the roof off with the help of a CRAZY audience. I can still remember people in the balcony swinging their beers and singing along to "The Blarney Stone". I'm surprised the show wasn't longer...perhaps they were too drunk to continue (it certainly LOOKED like they were). This recording has often been listed as a SBD/AUD matrix, but it's actually an excellent and close audience recording. It took me a while to find a lossless source that was complete. For a while I could only find a complete MP3 version and a lossless version with several cuts and glitches. With the help of a friend of the taper, I was able to get a copy that is both complete and lossless. However, there was digital noise in spots. I was able to fix this by patching in with the "cut" version, which was taken from the same DAT tape only without the errors. Thus, I was able to edit together a complete lossless version that is free of errors. I also fixed the EQ (the raw DAT is extremely muddy) and I smoothed out a cut in the encore break.
