TR3 Live at The Ryhthm Room on 2009-02-05

description
TR3: February 5, 2009 "Leave the Fretboard Behind" The Rhythm Room - Phoenix, AZ TR3 Are: Tim Reynolds - Guitars, Vocals Mick Vaughn - Bass Dan Martier - Drums Recorded by Eric Gardner. u22utoo. I don't usually name my recordings, but was impressed with Tim's use of the slide down over the pickups (i.e. he left the fretboard behind). The instruments were good and loud for this show, but Tim's vocals were a little low (at least where I was sitting - which was center stage, approximately 15' from band). Lineage: Front Mics (90 degrees) built into Zoom H2 (Lo Gain, recording level 100) > Sandisc > PC > CD Wave Editor (split tracks) > TLH (Encoding Level 6). Below is my recommended disc splitting, but no fades were added, so you can break wherever you want if burning to discs. Disc One: `1. Intro "Welcome to the Blue Light Special" `2. Cave Man `3. Merchandise sales pitch (Tim looking for something) `4. Victory Express `5. Ohio (Neil Young cover) `6. Indoctrinate `7. See You in Your Dreams `8. By Your Side `9. Wind Just Blew The Door Wide Open `10. Y.A.M.S / Breathing Space `11. Tim Talk `12. Backdoor `13. Uncover The Reason `14. Industrial Complex `15. How Many More Times (Led Zeppelin cover) `16. Matte Kudasai (Mick Vaughn lead vocal) `17. Do You Wanna `18. I Must Be Goin Insane (first time played LIVE) Disc Two: `1. Meaning To Tell You `2. Face Off `3. A Message From Another Dimension `4. Wild Country (Chris Whitley cover) `5. Tim Talk "I've Got Purple Balls on My Head" `6. Kabbalah `7. Tim Talk (Marcus Eaton joins the band) `8. Ley Lines (with Marcus Eaton/guitar) `9. "Join the Pooh on the Floor" `10. Sex Machine (James Brown cover with Marcus Eaton/guitar) `11. Shakin' That Ass `12. Burning Season `13. Hocus Pocus (Focus cover) `14. Coming back for Encore `15. Whole Lotta Logs (Led Zeppelin cover) Note: Fluffy provided the basic set list. I had already cut my tracks, and am not 100% sure I got everything in the right place, so feel free to send me corrections if you discover any errors. Not sure, but I think I failed to split Y.A.M.S. and Breathing Space (they are one track). I also have the song I called "A Message From Another Dimension" (Tim's intro), but I don't know what it is really called (if anything). Finally, I probably didn't need to break out track 9 from 10 on Disc 2. Oh well....
