Last night’s second set was a “Sco-Live” affair that saw Soulive aided by John Scofield throughout. The Sco-Live set began with an instrumental cover of The Dramatics’ “Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get.” Scofield then augmented the trio on “Nealization” and his own “Kelpers.” Next, Marcus King emerged to add to triple-guitar covers of the Allman Brothers Band’s “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed” and B.B. King’s “Sweet Little Angel.” King left Soulive and Scofield to conclude the set with “Boozer” and “Hey Joe.” For the encore, Soulive along with Scofield, King and The Shady Horns tackled Bobby “Blue” Bland’s “Turn On Your Lovelight.” Marcus handled vocals on “Lovelight.” Tonight, Soulive will be joined by Marcus King, George Porter Jr. and The Shady Horns at Brooklyn Bowl.
