For the intro and the verse riff: You hit a B at the 7th fret on your E string before playing the E9 chord, and then you hit the A on ur 5th fret on your E string before hitting the E/C# chord. B.) When you see a chord diagrammed as a letter then a / then another letter that means this: The first letter is the Chord. the letter AFTER the Slash ( / ) means that you put that note in as the BASS note of the chord. So an E/C# means its an E major chord (in this case it takes the D major shape, but with the capo on the 2nd fret it makes it an E major chord) with a C# in the bass. Hope this helps!
