David dedicated "Just A Man" to Mark Sandman, who died on July 3, 1999 - just a month before this show - after he after collapsed on stage in Italy. Mark was the bass player and creative force of Morphine, Treat Her Right, and some other local bands. This was certainly the right place to pay tribute to him, as the Middle East Club and Central Square were among Mark's favorite hangs. In fact, the intersection outside the Middle East Club was later christened "Mark Sandman Square" by the City of Cambridge. David cites him as a good friend in the intro, and plays a searing and emotional solo which marks this as the best version I've seen or heard.
