Last day of Grand National European Tour for the John Butler Trio. This gig took place at Olympia Hall in Paris, and this record cover the first part of the show. Unfortunately, I had a mic problem on the second part of the show, so I missed 3 additional songs after the encore break: Peaches & Cream, Better Than and Funky Tonight (and this last one was very special with the help of Dan Brantigan on trumpets). So, the setlist (at least for the part I recorded) is this one: Used to Get High Something Gotta Give Hello Daniella Treat Your Mama Talking Gov did Nothing Caroline Oldman Loosing You Ocean Betterman Grooving Slowly Zebra Good Excuse Nicky Bomba is joining the group on Grooving Slowly on guitar and vocals. He is also replacing Michael Barker on Zebra (Michael is playing percussion instead). The crowd were very nice except 2 guys that wanted to fight during Ocean peace message introduction (it seems they hadn’t listened the words of John, or maybe they can’t understand English). Again, sorry for the last part of the show, but I can’t stand not posting the first part because of this.
