Capacity 150 ppl. Those first 150 have early access to the venue before the doors open. 2 years ago when GPN was here, I recall waiting in the Halo bar for about an hour and a half visiting with maybe 30 people. So we had plenty of time right? We caught a wing special at KFC, parked and walked around the corner at 5:20 and the Halo bar is full. ?? So we are second in line standing on the sidewalk in the drizzling rain waiting for over an hour and a half. Met some nice folks that drove up from Srpigngield to see Grace for the first time and some more nice folks that drove from Memphis to see the show. I'll bet if I asked them today if it was all worth it, they would say yes. Found a spot right behind the soundboard Half a step up from the floor. Cool, sitting down we can look just over the top of the mixers and if we have to glance around the dude on the chair mixing it up its all good. Nice couple next to us joined up and we shared some pleasantries. I set the settings on the recorder. Played out some Bejewelled on the Nexus7 to kill some time. Nice to be out with my wife of 30+ years. Have to mention that because as the venue filled up, I began to feel like an old creep. There were couples there, there were even a few old folks like us there but it seemed to me the overwhelming majority of people there were beautiful young women. For sure I was surrounded by them all night (I won't lie - it was nice) but for sure for the life of me I can't understand why if you pay your $$ you would not listen and enjoy watching the show. Clap, whistle, jiggle and shake all you want between songs, but not everyone is interested in the dramatic drama of your dramatic life - please please please don't gab while I'm taping ..uh huh. Sure. Too late. I should know better anyway. Can't say I wasn't that way once. Have fun baby. What's the word nowadays? yolo. That is the caveat : There is some audience noise to these recordings. Chatted up the sound board guy and asked for the printed set list as a personal memento of the show. He said he would give it to me if the actual play list did not "vary too much" from the printed one. Because it was a "fan's choice" show, the set list was subject change and if it was too far off then the band would rather it not get out before being put up on the official board or web-site or whatever. So I had no idea what was going to be played. Lights down, heads up. Push the button and sit back. Grace was on fire and started off with the evening with hot version of Paris and the show just got hotter and hotter after that. Excellent song choices and great stage presence. Tons of sultry energy. My mY oh my Grace-ious. We were really enjoying the show until..well, about until P T G P P T. (Prime Time Grace Potter Playing Time) in other words with about a half hour to go. Then for some reason or another a couple was allowed access to the sound board area. They stood towards the back of the mixers themselves, which means they stood with their backs right up against the rail that we were sitting behind. The couple next to us was livid. My honey was upset. Not to get anyone in trouble and not saying it was what it looked like but just saying we didn't feel like Non essential personnell should have been "purposely" allowed in a restricted area. The staff's prerogative I guess, and if they weren't there with explicit permission, their presence was tacitly approved. And if not downright rude, it was certainly in bad form. Sure, we could have stood up. Three quarters of the people in the venue were standing up. It was an exciting sold out show. The folks on the floor below us were standing. The swarms of beautiful young ladies behind us were all standing up behind us. But come on, we had paid full price for our tickets, gotten there early and stood in the rain for an hour and a half so we could get a place to sit down and enjoy the show sans obstructions. Let me say this, the dude next to my wife said he wanted to grab my cane and bounce it off the guys head in front of us. So now we had a great view of Ms. Blondie playing grab-ass with Mr. Bimbo. Both without a care in the world and all just because it appears someone was friends with the soundman. Notice I say "appears" because, after all, what are you really gonna do? Pix attached to this file. Please pass me the cheese (to go a long with the whine) I'm over and done with it now. What a great show. Grace is always worth going to see, but I felt tonight her and the band were especially good. And on the way out I asked the soundboard guy if I could have the set list. And what do you think he did??? Please don't sell this recording in any way shape or form. Download the other versions of the show since I know there were other rigs there and they are bound to sound better than this one. Go see the band. Buy their music and their merch. Don't shop at Best-Buy I feel they ripped me off. It's a great day to be alive isn't it? Enjoy the show and please don't forget to leave a comment and let me know if you like it already! Peace -Hops
