Cris Jacobs Solo Electric September 26, 2010 13.5% Wine Bar Baltimore, MD Taped by: Bill D. (deubertw@comcast.net) Location: Positioned on a bottle, lower left section of wall-mounted wine rack Source: Edirol R09-HR internal mics (16 bit/44.1 kHz) Transfer: SDHC -> PC Processing: Two copies of this recording have been blended for the finished product. One copy had a noise fingerprint pass to reduce crowd chatter. One had a 20-band high-end EQ pass to brighten up the sound. Both had a few ideal characteristics. The noise reduced copy has been mixed to -5.1db and the EQ copy has been mixed to 0.0db. All processing done in SoundForge 9.0. All mixing down in Vegas 6.0. The sets included some inspired renditions of Bridge songs, especially a trippy Sanctuary and a stunning Lasting Hymn (during which Cris used a loop pedal to create a rich layered sound). Come on in My Kitchen and Country Mile were played with a Dobro, which was also a treat. Because the crowd was very chatty, the recording was processed and cleaned up to try and minimize chatter and boost the vocals and guitar in the final mix. The finished product still has a lot of crowd, but is nonetheless very enjoyable. Hope you dig it. Many, many thanks to Tim Brown for all of his assistance and guidance with this recording!
