My SO used to man the CA Honeydrop's merch booth ten years ago in college and I've heard about them many, many times and have listened to their music extensively. My SO actually used to see them at college and house parties and to her it is crazy that they're playing the Fox. We've tried to see them together before but it's been a game of missing them due to conflicts by a day or two so it was nice to finally see them perform in their hometown. They played a pretty lengthy set and from what it seems like deviated from the planned setlist quite a bit. I actually got the setlist that the lead singer had that someone ran up to him a few songs in where he jokes about a thousand dollar bet with another bandmate to stick to the setlist. I think he treated it more like a list of suggestions lol. This was my first time back at the Fox post pandemic and damn it was great to be back. In terms of the performance itself the CA Honeydrops played a great set. There's a good mix of covers, original music, and some new songs. They definitely seemed on their A game and each member of the band had a stellar night. Looking forward to seeing them again! I run a Rage Against the Machine live archive at http://ratm.live .
