Kevin had a sore throat coming on and was woefully flat in the entire first set. The Seattle Seahawks won their playoff game while we played (which is nice!). We used the new QSC Touchmix 16 mixer and it worked GREAT! Still working out exactly how I am interfacing the various outputs of the Yamaha Tyros 5 to the Touchmix 16 mixer. I like what we achieved at this gig. The "main mix" recording (see next paragraph) proved that the Touchmix 16 can indeed make you sound great! Lots of great effects and the overall versatility of this mixer is amazing. THIS UPLOAD IS THE DIRECT SOUNDBOARD "Main Mix" RECORDING (see explanation below). I merely "normalized" in Audacity and then exported to 16-bit and chopped it up into .flac's with CDWave. IF YOU WANT TO HEAR THE "MATRIX" RECORDING, PLEASE SEE: https://archive.org/details/3ws2015-01-10.sbd.touchmix16.q3hd.flac16 . ------------------------------------------------------ This particular recording is the direct soundboard ("Main Mix" from the QSC Touchmix 16) recording: The "Main Mix" stereo source of the QSC Touchmix 16 was enabled to record and it recorded two mono .wav files (left and right). I pulled the two files (left and right) into Audacity, "normalized" them, and then exported them out to a stereo .wav file. Therefore, you are hearing almost exactly what the audience heard out the "mains". ------------------------------------------------------ Until next time, Kevin B.
