Notes: The setlist for this show might be incomplete, as the recordings that circulate cut during Drums. Marc Daubert made a guest appearance on percussion. This show featured the first known performance of Camel Walk and the first known Phish performances of Wild Child, Bertha, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Eyes of the World, and Whipping Post (which featured Jeff on vocals). CYHMK included a St. Stephen tease. Copies of this performance often circulate with the incorrect date of November 3, 1983. Also, it is possible that this show was actually on Friday, November 2, 1984, as a photo of a flyer for a show on â€œ11/2â€ was printed in The Phish Book.

2nd DAT:
I received 2 DATs from Steve of this show.  The DATs were labeled differently but the waveforms were nearly identical.  It is my opinion that the circulating source (#1907) and the two DATs I got from Steve are all derived from the same source (AUD (boombox) > C(2) > DAT).

REMASTERED (12/01/07):

As this was my first seed, I naturally made some mistakes the first time around. I made all changes by going back to the original file set by Mike Wren and redoing the process, so this is as fresh as it gets. The new changes from my previous seed are as follows:

1) SBE fix

2) Encoded at 44.1 kHz (The last source I did was accidently encoded at a "false" 48 kHz. Whether this makes any difference sonically has not been determined.)

3) Different speed reductions at 6% and 8%, respectively. (I believe I was a hair off the first time around, so I wanted to use this opportunity to make the changes.)

4) NO CUTS! (I made some unorthodox, millisecond cuts before between songs, due to my inexperience of pitch correcting at the time. These went largely unnoticed, as far as I can tell.)

These changes should make this source better for the long haul.

Notes: Skippy and Fluffhead featured The Dude of Life on vocals. The jam after Camel Walk may have been Back Porch Boogie Blues. Spanish Flea included an introduction of the band members. Mike recalls that there were approximately 200 people in the audience. This is one of the more obscure items I have had in my collection. It was a filler on a tape I got from a Vermonter in the early to mid 1990's. Maybe it was the White Tape, or Bivouac Jaun, I'm not sure. I used to look for old and rare recordings back then. Back when rare meant rare and you hand wrote tapes lists to send via snail mail. Some of you might not know that music was traded on cassettes back then ;) I have never seen any info about this nor have I stumbled onto anyone else who has this little gem. I decided to put it online for a couple reasons. I figured some people might enjoy it for one. More inportantly I was hoping to find an upgrade or prompt others to post some gems that are as rare as this. Some of you might not have even ever heard this tune, or heard of it. It was played very little in the very beginnings of Phishs career. This must be a four track home recording. I also know there were different version recorded of the same song.
