This was a benefit fundraiser for WTJU 91.1-FM in Charlottesville.

The recoring has low levels, some hiss, and a weird pitch that makes it sound like it was recorded in a tin can. Carter is in the audience with Kristen (Asbury?). This recording is missing Nancies, Angel From Montgomery, and PFWYG.


These rare older shows have been collected and converted through a collaborative effort to get them into circulation. Sometimes these shows do not have the best sound quality (and maybe that's why they aren't circulated much to begin with), but people should have access to them.

This was a special early show at the Floodzone. It should not be confused with the 
full band 05/04/93 Trax show from later that day. The full band one is already in 
circulation, but this solo show is not and was very difficult to track down.

Dave mentions the next night's upcoming Floodzone show, 05/05/93, which is not even 
listed in setlist archives. 

A 0.042 second gap was removed from the middle of Christmas Song.

This is an interview with Dave Matthews on WBAI-FM backstage after the Irving Plaza 
show on 12/10/93. There are no songs, just the interview.

Dave talks about early shows in New York at CBGB's and The Wetlands, and the early 
formation of the band. This is a cool look back at the early history of the band when 
Dave could remember details... before Dave's memory of tours got too clouded with the 
thousands of shows and millions of miles traveled since then.

These rare older shows have been collected and converted through a collaborative

Notes: The orignal SBD DAT transfer had about 1:30 cut from the beginning (just intro/audience noise) and some digi-noise present in LIOG. Portions of audio from a VHS camera source were patched in to those to spots to make this a complete recording.  Thanks to Allan Chen and the original taper (if it wasn't Allan himself) for their hard work in introducing this gem to the community. I simply added in the missing pieces to offer a more "complete" recording for the archives.
